How Coaching Can Help In Your Life.

Coaching Can Focus On:

Life Transitions

Are you encountering new life changes or transitions that are challenging? New jobs, moving, divorce, separation, blended families, new babies, empty nesting - adjusting to a new path in life is often difficult. Coaching can be an effective way to identify problem areas, spaces for growth and set goals to better managing changes and needs.

Examples of Life Transition Goals in Coaching:

-”Find ways to adapt to new work environment that feels unfamiliar and uncomfortable.”

-”Develop more positive and supportive self-talk to work through feelings of Imposter Syndrome.”

-”Identify ways to help myself move through the divorce process that help improve self-esteem, reduce conflicts and manage healing.”

Personal Effectiveness

Do you enjoy your work, social life, personal time but often feel not as effective as you want to be? Do you struggle with identifying your own needs and being able to assert them within your own choices or to others? Do you feel often stuck in a job or personal routines that aren’t rewarding? Do you feel there are changes you could make or advocate for that would help increase job effectiveness and satisfaction? Do you feel like your personal time isn’t spent in ways that align with what you value in life? Coaching can help you identify problem areas, authentic desires and needs for work and personal paths while also developing ways to become more effective at implementing new strategies and asserting needs to others.

Examples of Personal Effectiveness Goals in Coaching:

-”Find ways to make changes that will help me feel more fulfilled in my job.”

-”Develop new routines that promote improved confidence and self-efficacy in social settings.”

-”Determining how I can shift my daily routines to be more values aligned with my future goals.”

Relationships

Healthy relationships are vital to overall wellness. Struggling with marriage, children, parenting, dating in the ‘modern world’ are all common and finding ways via coaching to manage challenges more effectively can create more satisfaction in life. We will collaborate to identify strengths, needs, personal perceptions about self/others, environmental and cultural issues that complicate or potentially enhance relationships and process all areas to determine how these factors are fostering or impeding growth and contentment. From there, we’ll set realistic and attainable goals, track growth, build ways to overcome barriers and refine as needed.

Examples of Relationship Goals in Coaching:

-”Identify ways to help me communicate more effectively with my partner or family.”

-”Name goals for finding more joy in my social and romantic relationships.”

-”Set goals for generally feeling more connected with my community and social circle.”

Adult ADHD

Have you been diagnosed with ADHD in your adult years and looking for ways to effectively manage daily life via coaching help for personal effectiveness? Do you feel you may have some ADHD tendencies and have never been diagnosed but would like help in developing new ways to manage attentional struggles? Would you like to learn more about how ADHD coaching can help you build more balance and function in your life? Adult ADHD related issues can affect all areas of life from work to relationships to parenting to health. Coaching for Adult ADHD can be helpful in building more self-esteem, personal effectiveness and feelings of satisfaction in life.

Examples of Adult ADHD Goals in Coaching:

-”Develop strategies for feeling more organized at home and work.”

-”Identify methods for reducing procrastination and delay within both work and personal tasks.”

-”Find new ways to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly needs and tasks.”

Physical Health Goals

Have you recently received health goals from your doctor or other medical providers that you are struggling to meet? For example, are you struggling to experience progress within weight loss goals, exercise planning, healthy eating, sleep, stress or other basic issues? Are you trying to find ways to establish healthier routines and consistency with wellness oriented actions in your life? These are all very common issues that people struggle with. We shame ourselves, feel guilt and get stuck in ruts that prevent us from finding energy and motivation to move forward. Health Coaching can help you take your medical goals (remember, coaching never takes the place of licensed medical advice!) that have been directed by doctors…. and find ways to implement and execute these goals with more success, consistency and positive attitude. My background in motivational work in counseling and also my training as a Certified Health Coach with ACE (the American Council on Exercise) both provide me with tools to help you feel more effective and aligned with health goals and needs.

Examples of Health Coach Goals in Coaching:

-”Develop ways to more consistently meet daily exercise recommendations by my doctor.”

-”Find new ways to meet healthy eating priorities and goals developed by my dietitian or doctor.”

-”Identifying barriers to meeting daily health needs and ways to use strengths to improve consistency and success.”

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it and join the dance.”

Important Note on Coaching vs Therapy Needs:

If you feel like your struggles are more intense, causing anxiety and/or depression that are really getting in the way of functioning normally or have experienced significant trauma, please reach out to a licensed therapist/counselor for a formal assessment and consultation. If you are an Ohio resident, you may also visit my website for clinical counseling of diagnosable issues at www.solaracounseling.com for more information.
